资格
Students must be in good standing at Pitzer College. ISEP requires students to have a 2.75 or higher GPA on a 4.0规模. Students must have junior or senior status at the time of participation. Completion of Spanish 44 or a demonstrated equivalency must be completed prior to the program. Additional literature level coursework in Spanish is highly recommended.

At least one Latin American area studies course is strongly recommended before departure. Other general preparation options include: Comparative Politics, Intercultural Communications, Introduction to Inter国家/ Intercultural Studies, Introduction to Sociocultural Anthropology

Students must first apply through Pitzer’s Office of 出国留学 and Inter国家 项目. If accepted by Pitzer, students will complete the ISEP Exchange application. If accepted by ISEP, students will then complete the University application.

必修课程
Participants are required to take a full course load abroad equivalent to four PItzer course credits and including one course with content on Chilean history, 政治, literature or culture. In addition, students take the Pitzer course MLLC110 Intercultural Learning: Portfolio Writing 通过酒井法子.
Intensive Language
A 4-week pre-session intensive Spanish course is offered before both semesters. Spanish language courses are offered in addition to regular classes during the semester for intermediate and advanced levels. Students must test into intermediate or advanced Spanish to enroll in regular university courses.

Students take a full course load at the university (15 or 16 credits) which is equivalent to four Pitzer course credits. Since courses are worth 2 to 6 credits each, most students will be enrolled in more than four classes. In addition, students will earn 0.5 Pitzer course credits for the writing course 通过酒井法子. (See above under 必修课程.)
Housing and Board Options
Housing and meals are provided by host families.
